Welcome to my first attempt at a website.  I am dedicating this site to my furbabies and all of the other animals that grace this world.  You will see pictures of my furbabies, some of those that are available for adoption from our humane society, and friends' and family's furbabies.  My husband, Jon, may be in some of the pictures.  There is a slight possibility that I will be in a picture or two. 

 

My name is Thisby, and I live in North Carolina, USA, and work as a speech-language pathologist.  I spend much of my spare time volunteering for a local humane society, writing letters in favor of animal welfare, and posting on ivillage.com.  I am a community leader on the Pet Adoption and Rescue message board on ivillage.com, so I spend a lot of time on that message board.  I am also a member of the North Carolina Voters for Animal Welfare www.ncvaw.org 

 

This website will primarily include information about animal welfare.  I will share petcare tips, links to animal welfare organizations, opportunities to help save animals, and my favorite animal related books.
